Teaching mindful, intentional movement through Yang-style Tai Chi to cultivate balance, body awareness, and inner calm.
Kimberly Bland has practiced Tai Chi since 2015 and teaches with a focus on mindfulness, alignment, and nervous-system ease. She has trained in Yang style Tai Chi under Kim Kanzelberger (Center States Tai Chi Chuan) and studied tui shou (push/sensing hands) as a partner practice to develop sensitivity and responsiveness. Most recently, she completed certification in Tai Chi Fundamentals® (Tricia Yu), a simplified approach that emphasizes posture, balance, and coordinated movement.
Kimberly teaches in a variety of settings—group classes and 1:1 sessions at Seeking Solace, community education programs, private groups, workplace wellness, and online instruction. She’s passionate about making Tai Chi accessible for all bodies and experience levels.
Calm, precise, and supportive. Kimberly emphasizes relaxed structure, mindful pacing, and practical body mechanics so students can release tension, improve stability, and move with greater awareness in daily life.
Sparrow Tai Chi's mission is to share tai chi with anyone interested in improving their ability to calm and center their body and mind.
Practicing the flowing motion of tai chi while being mindful helps us nurture our own well-being, strengthen our body, experience positive emotional states, and feel a greater sense of harmony within ourselves and with our environment.
